Pricing Policy
Ministry Pricing Policy
All the time Ministry Grounds Coffee is a hobby business, I will keep prices at a level that reflects that.
However, even for hobby businesses, there are overheads and shifting product prices (often due to the changing $AU exchange rate).
As at May 11th 2009 here is the Ministry Grounds pricing policy and revised roasted coffee pricing structure:
Green coffee
The price of green coffee in the store will change according to the price I have to pay from the wholesaler, and the only thing that is added to that price is a margin to cover my costs in obtaining/storing/financing that stock - plus a little for the 'bean buying fund' to reduce future stock financing requirements.
Roasted coffee
With my expanded range of premium 'special reserve' coffees, I now have four tiers of pricing for roasted coffee:
1. Applied to single origin coffees whose green price falls below a certain threshhold, and the Ministry Grounds House Blend:
250g - $8.50
500g - $14.00
1000g - $25.00
2. Applied to single origin coffees whose green price is above a certain threshhold, and other blends:
250g - $9.50
500g - $15.50
1000g - $27.00
3. Applied to 'Special Reserve' coffee within a certain green price range:
250g - $11.50
500g - $19.00
1000g - $35.00
4. Applied to 'Special Reserve' coffee above the previous green price threshold:
250g - $13.00
500g - $22.00
1000g - $40.00
Pre-grinding of any single origin or blend is still done free of charge.
